What states are you licensed in?

Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas & Puerto Rico.

Can I manage my own branch?

Yes, as long as you have at least 2 years of experience in the mortgage business.

Can I originate loans in other states that you are licensed in?

Yes, but you’ll need to get licensed in that particular state yourself.

How long has Home1st been in business?

We have been in business since 2005.

How often do I get paid?

Home1st processes payroll on a Bi-Weekly schedule for W-2 employees, and 48-72 Hours for 1099.

Do you offer direct deposit?

Yes, Home1st recommend that you do direct deposit.

Do you offer benefits?

We have a full range of benefits to choose from, which includes health, life, disability insurance and a 401k.

Will I be a W-2 Employee or 1099?

W-2 or 1099 depending if allowed in your state .

May I use my current investors if they are not on the list?

Yes, You simply provide us the Broker Application from your lender for us to review. Providing that our criteria have been met, we will complete and submit the application. We want to ensure that you have the flexibility to place your loan with lenders you are familiar with.

Can I process my own loans?

Yes, but why waste your time processing your own files when this will only drag you down. We have relationships with a few processing companies that we can refer you to.

Who pays for processing?

The borrower pays for processing.

Are there any monthly fee's?

Yes, there’s $99 per month fee, which includes access to our state of the art technology suite. (LOS/POS/Gmail/Slack/)

Does Home1st provide training.

Yes, we do extensive training. We have developed some of the top LO’s in our market, we believe that if you don’t train, you will not succeed, and if you don’t succeed, we don’t succeed. When you join Home1st we give you access to our in house portal of extensive training content of videos, workflow documents,  and even scripts! You are also required to participate in a person or Zoom orientation with the corporate office that will cover guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Do you have a compliance department?

Yes, We have a compliance department that makes sure we are in compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations.

Can I advertise?

Yes, all advertising must receive a written approval by the compliance department to ensure that all content complies with Federal, State and Local Regulations.

How long does it take to get approved?

Upon completion of your application employment package and other requested documentation, your application will be received for approval within approximately 2-3 days.​

What type of experience and equipment do I need?

You must have a minimum of 2 years full-time in mortgage origination.
